In early 2020, Yamaha loaned me a Disklavier participant piano—a particular instrument that lets you file your efficiency for the piano to play again by itself. I used to be initially engaged on a duet for myself and one other pianist, however when the pandemic hit, the participant piano grew to become my duet companion. I started writing a collection of duets for myself and the Disklavier, exploring all of the other ways I may make the most of this instrument to merge its inhuman capabilities with my very own taking part in.
