Celebrating the Movers and Shakers of Conservation: Nature Canada’s Award Winners for 2023

Conservation Accomplice Award

Nature Canada is proud to acknowledge  Chicken Pleasant Peterborough and Chicken Pleasant Metropolis of Kawartha Lakes because the joint 2023 winner of the Conservation Accomplice Award. Their common birding workshops, hikes, and window decal retrofits have been a giant hit locally and helped elevate consciousness about fowl conservation throughout the Peterborough and Kawartha Lakes area. The profitable launch of the Blue Heron as Peterborough’s Metropolis Chicken is one other instance of their essential efforts in defending the pure belongings and wildlife of this space.

We have now three 2023 winners on this class!

Nora Livingstone is being acknowledged for her unflagging efforts within the service of defending nature, particularly her work with Nature Canada’s  Ladies for Nature  Mentorship Program as a mentor, a moderator of group apply webinars, and a member of the steering committee. She has been an ideal supply of inspiration for younger ladies who wish to dedicate their time and vitality to nature safety.

Our second winner, Carly Davenport, is being acknowledged for her tireless work on the  Chicken Secure Campus on the College of Toronto and for her monitoring of the college grounds for injured and deceased birds who’ve collided with glass home windows.
